Jambatan Angkat Kuala Terengganu (KT Drawbridge)
The Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge is the newest landmark in the capital of Terengganu and the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. It was opened for public access in August 2019. The 638-meter bridge spans the embouchure of the Terengganu River, connecting the city of Kuala Terengganu and Seberang Takir.
The drawbridge showcases a modern, striking architecture with four 15-story towers inspired by the Tower Bridge in London. At night, the structure is illuminated with colourful lights. If you’re lucky, you can catch a glimpse of the double-leaf bascule opening to allow yachts and boats to pass through along the Terengganu River.
Masjid Abidin (Masjid Putih)
The Abidin Mosque, also known as Masjid Besar or Masjid Putih, is the oldest mosque in the state of Terengganu. It is one of the main tourist hotspots due to its mesmerizing architecture.
Pasar Kedai Payang
Pasar Kedai Payang, commonly known as Pasar Payang, is a must-visit destination when visiting Terengganu. Pasar Payang can be considered a shopping heaven for both locals and tourists. This is the best location to get local products such as hand-woven songket, batik silk, and scarves, as well as keropok, jewellery, handicrafts, and more. It is also the main market to procure groceries, local produce, and fresh seafood.

Kampung Budaya Terengganu (Terengganu Cultural Village)
Terengganu Cultural Village is the latest tourism attraction in the state. With the concept of a living museum, it showcases various types of art and cultural heritage from all regions in Terengganu.
Visitors can also admire the magnificent and authentic architecture of traditional homes and experience what it feels like to live in the past. Additionally, cultural performances are regularly scheduled at Laman Warisan, allowing visitors to enjoy traditional arts and performances.

Muzium Negeri Terengganu (State Museum)
The Terengganu State Museum Complex, located in Kampung Bukit Losong, houses the original Inscribed Stone, which was discovered in 1303 in Kampung Buluh, Hulu Terengganu. The discovery of the Inscribed Stone is evidence that Terengganu is one of the earliest states to utilize Islamic law. This museum complex is considered one of the most beautiful, with an architectural structure inspired by the old castles of Terengganu.
Spanning an area of 27 hectares, the museum complex also features a petroleum gallery, an Islamic gallery, traditional Malay houses, and two ships: the Kemajuan Ship and the Sabar Ship, which were once symbols of pride for sailors.

Taman Tamadun Islam (Islamic Civilization Park)
Islamic Civilization Park, located on Pulau Wan Man, is the first Islamic-themed theme park in the world. Inside, there are 21 monuments scaled from 1:17 to 1:22 of their original size. Cruising along Sungai Terengganu with the TTI River Cruise provides a unique and different experience.
Masjid Kristal (Crystal Mosque)
Erected out of steel and glass, the Terengganu Crystal Mosque, located in the Islamic Civilization Park (TTI), is unique for its blend of Moorish and Gothic architectural themes. It is situated atop a body of water facing the mouth of the Terengganu River.

Kampung Cina (China Town)
Kampung Cina consists of rows of old buildings believed to have been home to Chinese immigrants from mainland China who arrived in Peninsular Malaysia in the 19th century. To this day, some buildings retain their original woodcraft on windows and large hardwood front doors, while others have been refurbished into modern concrete structures.
These centuries-old buildings are now filled with shops, local coffee houses, tourist agency offices, batik shops, souvenir stores, and more.
Pulau Duyong
Pulau Duyong is an island located at the estuary of the Terengganu River, near the city of Kuala Terengganu. It is connected to the mainland by the Sultan Mahmud Bridge, which serves as the main road linking the northern districts of Kuala Terengganu. The island is renowned for its centuries-old artisanal skills in boat making.
Pantai Batu Buruk
Located approximately 1.5 km from the city centre, Pantai Batu Buruk is the nearest beach, making it a popular destination for visitors both local and international. It is renowned as a leisure spot where visitors can enjoy various street foods sold along both sides of the road.
Pulau Warisan / Payang Walk
Pulau Warisan also known as Payang Walk, features a small bridge with a curved shape that connects two roads, making it a notable landmark. The island was built to showcase the cultural, artistic, and culinary heritage of the people of Terengganu, providing a place for relaxation on weekend (Friday) night. One of a must visit places in Kuala Terengganu.

Noor Arfa Craft Complex (NACC)
NACC is famous as another must-visit destination when touring Terengganu. As a craft complex, NACC have a lot of interesting attraction especially Batik. Most of Malaysian associates NACC as the biggest Batik Pavillion in Malaysia.

Terengganu Science & Creativity Centre (PSKT)
PSKT is a platform for informal education regarding Science & Technology which houses an exhibition gallery and lots of interesting Science & Technology exhibits.

Masjid Terapung (Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque)
Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque or better known as Masjid Terapung (Floating Mosque) was named after the name of the mother of Al-Marhum Sultan Terengganu Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah which was the late Almarhumah Tengku Intan Zaharah binti Almarhum Tengku Setia Diraja Tengku Omar. This mosque displays the uniqueness of its architectural beauty atop Ibai river’s estuary making it the most magnificent mosque in Malaysia.
Pulau Sekati
Pulau Sekati is located near Kampung Paloh and Terengganu State Museum. A bridge spanning almost 1.5 km connecting Kampung Teluk Pasu ang Losong. This is a perfect location for a little sunset photoshoot.
Pulau Warisan
There is a small bridge built with a curved shape to connect between the two roads and has become one of the landmarks here. The island was also built to house the cultural, artistic and food materials that are the heritage of the people of Terengganu and a place to relax on a weekend night.
Istana Maziah
Located in Bukit Puteri Kuala Terengganu, this palace is the pride of the people of Terengganu. Built with French architecture, the Royal Palace became the official residence of the previous state government.
Rumah Warisan Haji Su
Rumah Warisan Haji Su is in Kampung Losong Haji Su. Rhis heritage house is built with the traditional characteristics of the State of Terengganu, namely the Dutch Limas house and the Bujang Berpeleh Kembar Tiga home and has 70 windows and 12 doors.

Kota Lama Duyong
Located in Pulau Duyong Kecil which is about 7 km from the city of Kuala Terengganu. Kota Lama Duyong has 9 roofs that cover several parts that are connected to the kitchen, bathroom, sarung, veranda and bridge. The design also resembles a small castle of the Malay Sultans.

Traditional Terengganu Delicacies
Nasi Dagang
Nasi Dagang Terengganu is usually made from a mixture of rice and glutinous rice and cooked with coconut milk, it is eaten with tuna fish curry, and cucumber achar is also prepared as a condiment.
Keropok Lekor
It is a traditional dish especially in Terengganu. Keropok is made from ocean fish meat with a mix of sago and a pinch of salt. As it is highly concentrated with ocean fish, keropok lekor is jam packed with high protein goodness and rich with natural iodine.
Ketupat Sotong
Squid is filled with glutinous rice and coconut milk gravy mixed with ingredients such as ginger slices, fenugreek, onion and a little salt and sugar for taste.
Ikan Celup Tepung (ICT)
Using fresh seafood such as shrimp, squid and fish. The flour used also plays an important role in ensuring that the menu will be crispy and delicious. One of the most popular locations for battered fish is in Pandak Beach.
Satar
Satar is blend of scraped coconut meat, crushed fish meat mixed with chillies, onion, ginger and wrapped inside a banana leaf in the shape of a triangular pyramid. Each of the loaded onto a bamboo stick and grilled on open flames.
Lemang
For the local on the East Coast, Kijal lemang is a must-have on their menus for its deliciousness. One of the famous locations to sell these lemang is the ‘Lemang Valley’ in the town of Kijal.
Otak-otak
Otak-otak are made from fish meat mixed with spices, wrapped in a coconut leaf and then grilled to perfection.
Laksam
This dish is made from rice flour and wheat flour shaped like a thick pasta that is rolled and sliced. It is only served with a white fish broth, and then mixed vegetables are a must that brings out the rich flavours of the laksam.
Laksa Kuah Putih
The laksa is made from rice flour and is eaten with a white broth which consist of coconut milk and fish meat. A mix of vegetables such as cucumber slices and long beans are essential to accentuate the taste of the Laksa Kuah Putih. Chilli paste, shrimp paste and salt are added according to your personal preferences.
